Grading Methodology
Each source receives a letter grade (A through D) based on its factual reliability assessment from Media Bias/Fact Check, one of the most widely cited media credibility rating organizations.
The GPA score converts grades to a 4.0 scale (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1) and averages across sources. This allows comparison between bias categories while accounting for different numbers of sources in each group.
Ratings are updated periodically as Media Bias/Fact Check revises their assessments. Individual articles may vary in quality regardless of a source's overall grade.
